Al-Nasr coach: Ronaldo was kicked out due to an Al-Bulaihi "play"
Coach Luis Castro of Al-Nasr Saudi Arabia believed that Cristiano Ronaldo's dismissal from Al-Hilal during the two clubs' Monday Diriyah Saudi Super Cup semifinal matchup was a "play" featuring Ali Al-Bulaihi of Al-Hilal.
Following the 2-1 loss for his club, Castro stated in the press conference that Ronaldo had been provoked all season long. The player claimed that Ronaldo struck him in the face during a brief altercation, despite the fact that the photos clearly did not depict that. Cristiano was provoked.
He went on: The opponent player's play and portrayal was what actually transpired. It was intended for the video assistance referee to summon the match referee to view the shot.
In opposition to Al Hilal. It was Ronaldo's twelfth "expulsion" in his career.
On Monday, after leaving the field during his team's Al-Nasr match against Al-Hilal in the Diriyah Saudi Super Cup semi-final, Cristiano Ronaldo was given his 12th red card of his career.
The 85th minute saw Ronaldo, the captain of Al-Nasr, receive a straight red card from the match referee after making contact with Al-Hilal's defender, Ali Al-Bulaihi.
Ronaldo has been defending his colors for Al-Nasr since January 2023, but this is his first card in the uniform. He was ejected six times as a Real Madrid player (2009–2018).
Ronaldo was given four red cards throughout his two stints as a Manchester United player and one red card during his time as an Italian player for
Juventus.
